IMPORT FACE-OFF CAR SHOW ROLL-IN, JUDGING, AND ETIQUETTE INFO

The car show portion of Import Face-Off involves registration, parking, judging, and awards all within one day. This quick, easy process is one reason IFO has continuously grown throughout the years. There is no need to drop your car off the day before. After receiving your score card at the front gate, park inside the yellow tape. No glass bottles are allowed anywhere at IFO events. However, contestants are welcome to bring can and plastic bottle drinks, grills, coolers, and chairs. If you bring a pop up tent, be sure to tell judges before parking that you will need an open spot next to your car. The judges will not give you space after another car has already been parked next to you. If you are wanting to park with your car club, make sure the entire team drives into the designated show area at the same time. If you come inside together, you will be parked together. Non-contestants are also welcome to park and show off (hard park) inside the car show display area for no extra charge (space permitting).

During judging, please limit your talking with the judges. The amount of cars competing at an IFO can sometimes become overwhelming, so judging has to be done very quickly. If the judges have a question about your car, they will ask you. Do NOT compete at an IFO if you have a problem with fast judging. Unfortunately, that is one drawback to having such a quick, convenient process with registration, parking, judging, and awards all done within one day.

Another reason IFO has grown to be the largest touring Import series is because of its fair, unbiased, accurate judging. IFO judges are the most experienced in the world having reviewed thousands of cars at dozens of events since 2001. Most of our judges have been with us since IFO’s origin! However, realize that all car show judging and some classing is purely subjective with points being awarded more on quality than quantity. Another words, having the most modifications does not guarantee a win. If you lose, bow out gracefully and do not complain. ***IFO will NOT address illegitimate email or verbal complaints on judging. Example, “How could the other car with the ugly spoiler win over mine with the mad tyte yo wing?". If we do not reply to your inqurity, it was because you had an illegitimate complait. However, if there is an obvious mistake and you have a legitimate question or suggestion, feel free to POLITELY let the judges know immediately after the awards ceremony. Example, “Why did a Chevy Silverado win Best Minitruck?”.
